Characteristics Of The Dock-bottom Service Vehicle

Crawler Chassis & Self-Propulsion: Features a hydraulically driven crawler system capable of stable movement on the slippery or uneven surfaces of a dry dock floor; offers a gradeability of ≥5° and a maximum speed of ≥8 m/min, suitable for both wet and drained environments.

Integrated Ultra-High-Pressure Water Jetting & Vacuum Recovery: Comes standard with a 300 MPa-class high-pressure nozzle (equipped with "linear/cross" spray bars) and an integrated vacuum shroud and waste recovery system; achieves dry-style descaling (no visible spray/splatter) and meets environmental standards (Wa 2.5 grade) with an efficiency of ≥60 m²/h.

Telescopic Luffing Boom (0°–75°) with Automatic Surface Following: Features a multi-stage telescopic structure; the end-mounted work platform supports rotation (-180° to +180°) and tilting; select models utilize sensors to automatically conform to curved hull surfaces, with a maximum working height typically ranging from 6 to 13 meters.

Remote Control & Emergency Backup Control with Audio-Visual Alerts: Supports long-range remote operation (meeting interference-resistance standards) and is equipped with an emergency stop button and audio-visual alarms (≥90 dB), complying with specialized safety standards such as T/CMES 20017.4-2025.

Powertrain and Structural Reinforcement: Typically powered by diesel engines (meeting China IV or higher emission standards) or electric cables; features a high-strength steel box-girder chassis, a load-sensing hydraulic system, and corrosion-resistant designs for critical components (such as stainless steel fuel tanks and rust-proof drainage pipes).

Specialized Application: Distinct from "dock-wall vehicles" (which operate on rails along the dock sidewalls and feature a manned platform), "dock-floor vehicles" are designed specifically for close-proximity work beneath the ship's hull; they are unmanned, do not involve aerial lifting, and prioritize ground mobility and the containment of pollutants.
