A ship rust-removal robot platform is an integrated intelligent equipment system-comprising a mobile chassis (such as a magnetic adhesion or negative-pressure wall-climbing mechanism), rust-removal modules (e.g., ultra-high-pressure water jetting, sandblasting, or grinding tools), and intelligent sensing and control systems-designed specifically to automate rust removal on ship hulls, thereby replacing high-risk manual labor.

 

These platforms travel stably across vertical or curved hull surfaces while carrying rust-removal tools (commonly ultra-high-pressure water jets exceeding 200 MPa, often featuring vacuum recovery for wastewater) to achieve dust-free, safe, and efficient rust removal (typically achieving rates of 50–80 m²/h and Sa 2.5 cleanliness standards).


Platform composition: Typically based on a specialized wall-climbing robot chassis (using permanent magnet adhesion or vacuum negative pressure), an operational arm or nozzle, a sensing system (laser or visual positioning), and a remote or autonomous control unit. Some systems integrate coating functions, creating a "smart platform + robot" collaborative setup (such as the solutions offered by Zhejiang Dingli or Zoomlion).
