We made the tank with a sloped bottom. Sludge slides down to the drain port. The drain port is a quick-opening blind flange. No tools needed. Open it, shovel out the sludge, close it. Easy. We also added anti-slosh baffles inside. When the tank is on a moving vehicle, water does not slosh around. The vehicle stays stable.

 

 

Some manufacturers use mild steel tanks. They are cheaper. But they rust. Rust flakes get into your reclaimed water. Then you spray that rusty water onto a ship hull. That ruins the paint job.
